Your pet’s health and well-being are our top priority.

Serving the pets and families of Gap and surrounding communities, our Gap location is a full-service veterinary hospital committed to treating every animal like a beloved family member. We provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for your “companion animals” (dogs and cats), in addition to “pocket pets” (including other small mammals, reptiles, and birds).

Our facility includes advanced diagnostic tools, an in-house laboratory, and a well-stocked pharmacy to ensure your pets receive the best possible care. We are dedicated to offering compassionate and personalized care to keep your furry, feathered, and scaly friends healthy and happy.

Practice Owner and Veterinarian – Gap and Lancaster (*limited practice)

  • Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology (University of Maryland, College Park)
  • Veterinary Degree: attended Ross University (St. Kitts) but completed her DVM degree at the University of Illinois
  • I joined Pine Creek Animal Hospital in: May 2018
  • My areas of professional interest include: Male cat cystitis / Perineal urethrostomy (PU), Ultrasound, and complicated medical cases and work-ups
  • My favorite animal / breed is: a well-behaved dog 🙂
  • My pets include: Darlene (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel), Euchre (Vizsla), Kiki, Fuzzball, and LC (cats), plus chickens and steers
  • Outside of work, I enjoy: spending time with my family, being outside, riding reining horses, hiking, traveling, and reading.

Medical Director – Gap

  • I am certified in: Fear Free and Feline-Friendly
  • I joined Pine Creek Animal Hospital in: January 2025
  • My areas of professional interest include: Clinical Pathology / Cytology, Feline Medicine, and Internal Medicine
  • My professional achievements include: being a regular on an “Ask the Vet” radio segment
  • My favorite animal / breed is: a mixed breed of cats
  • My pets include: four cats
  • Outside of work, I enjoy: running, playing video games, and spending time with my family
  • I want our clients to know: that I grew up and lived in Arizona for most of my life. I am new to this part of the country and am very excited for this new chapter in my life.

Associate Veterinarian – Gap

  • Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, with a minor in Entomology (University of Florida)
  • Veterinary Degree: University of Florida
  • I joined Pine Creek Animal Hospital in: July 2022
  • My areas of professional interest include: Surgery, Dermatology, and Ultrasound
  • My professional achievements include: how much my ultrasound and surgical skills have grown since I began at Pine Creek
  • My favorite animal / breed is: a tie between labradors and hounds (“Who doesn’t love happy swimming balls of energy and floppy lips and snoots!?”)
  • My pets include: JR (my coonhound mix) and Pasquale & Pignoli (my two guinea pigs)
  • Outside of work, I enjoy: gardening, baking sourdough bread, weightlifting, running, and gaming with my friends.
  • I want our clients to know: that I am blessed to work at Pine Creek with such wonderful people. (“Oh, and that my wife is a Large Animal Veterinarian Surgical Resident.”)

Associate Veterinarian – Gap and Lancaster

  • Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences, and double-minored in Biology and Wildlife and Fisheries Science (Penn State University)
  • Veterinary Degree: Tufts University
  • I joined Pine Creek Animal Hospital in: July 2023
  • My areas of professional interest include: The “other” pets we have (the ones other than farm/food animals and dogs / cats), Dentistry, Radiography, and Cytology
  • My professional achievements include: membership in the Association of Reptile & Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV), Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV), and Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV). I also volunteer to help in the rescue/shelter world; I’ve been vetting for Eliannie Animal Rescue since it was founded.
  • My favorite animal / breed is: different all the time. (“Currently, I’m obsessed with Giant Elephant Shrews because of their prehensile noses!”)
  • My pets include: 3 dogs, 4 cats, 5 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, 2 snakes, a bearded dragon, a parrot, and a tarantula (but no partridge in a pear tree!)
  • Outside of work, I enjoy: gardening, reading, playing video games, crafting, hiking, hunting, and playing the drums
  • I want our clients to know: I’m a loud-mouthed drummer by nature, but I promise it’s not contagious (just genetic!) 🙂

Associate Veterinarian – Gap

  • Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Sciences (University of Delaware)
  • Veterinary Degree: Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University
  • I joined Pine Creek Animal Hospital in: December 2023
  • My areas of professional interest include: Internal Medicine, Dermatology, and Oncology
  • My professional achievements include: participating in a World Vets program in Nicaragua during veterinary school. World Vets provides veterinary services, disaster relief, and training programs to underserved areas worldwide. 
  • My favorite animal / breed is: a greyhound (“They are sweet couch potatoes and typically pristine veterinary patients!”)
  • My pets include: Kea, a greyhound
  • Outside of work, I enjoy: spending time with my family, reading, coloring, puzzles and working out
  • I want our clients to know: while I work part time, as I have two young children and cherish my work-life balance, I truly care deeply about the wellbeing of my clients and patients.

Associate Veterinarian – Gap

  • Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Science Degree in Veterinary Medical Technology, with a minor in Biology (Wilson College) 
  • Veterinary Degree: St. Georges University
  • I joined Pine Creek Animal Hospital in: June 2018 (as an assistant, and continued to work over summer and winter breaks)
  • My areas of professional interest include: Pocket Pet / Companion Medicine, Diagnostic and Advanced Imaging, and Contributing to Innovation and Compassionate Care in Lancaster County
  • My professional achievements include: holding several positions throughout my continued education, including biology tutor and veterinary student advisor (at Wilson), along with being an epidemiology tutor (at St. Georges).
  • My favorite animal / breed is: a pangolin, as I care deeply for their conservation. (“These little artichokes are the poster children for poaching and trafficking awareness.”)
  • My pets include: a little island dog I brought home from Grenada. Her legal name is Pennsylvania Dutch Eggnog… but she answers to Eggy.
  • Outside of work, I enjoy: hiking, archery, fishing, and gaming
  • I want our clients to know: that I’m committed to providing the highest standard of care for every patient, while also being mindful of each family’s unique needs and concerns. I believe in open communication, collaboration, and compassion at every step.

Associate Veterinarian – Gap

  • Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Biotechnology & Conservation, with a minor in Psychology (Delaware Valley College)
  • Veterinary Degree: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
  • I joined Pine Creek Animal Hospital in: April 2023
  • My areas of professional interest include: Battling the pet overpopulation through spays and neuters, Being a Cat Whisperer, and Fear Free Training and Implementation during Appointments
  • My professional achievements include: becoming efficient with spays and neuters (“I can spay a cat in an average of 6 minutes!”)
  • My favorite animal / breed is: a cat. (“They are my people.”)
  • My pets include: 4 feline housemates
  • Outside of work, I enjoy: hiking, kayaking, creating and crafting items (jewelry, cat products, and funky décor) for my small craft business, and reading romantasy books
  • I want our clients to know: that after over a decade of veterinary experience, I pride myself on understanding a patient and client’s lifestyle in order to make informed decisions. I’m an active listener while being gentle and patient with the pets I care for.
